MOM

My mom Florence  Holder Hovland. She raised a big family while keeping up with all of the demands of running a barnstorm enterprise with my dad.  17 years of births, 29 years of road work. The sweetest lady you could ever meet. This is her on the road in the fifties  as  team member and captain  of her husbands World Famous TexasCowGirls barnstorm basketball team (1949-1977).  He is the shadow taking the photo. The sidewalk is wide - tells me this was in a large city, maybe outside NBA stadium. The jeans were official TC team jeans made by Levis the boots Acme another team sponsor .

Two Arkansas kids grow up in ElDorado and Gillham Arkansas to become World Famous Barnstorm basketball players.  As a child I would watch Goose and my mama  bounce the basketball with their knees and roll neck and finger spin on our back patio. He would tease the heck out of her she was so pretty , he flirted she  whipped him  into shape and served him lemonade and a sandwich
